Did you know that your kitchen can help you stay on track with your new year's resolution? According to Houzz Kitchen Study in 2016, homeowners who remodeled their kitchens saw positive results in their overall lifestyle. It makes sense that homeowners are more likely to use a kitchen that is organized, easy to clean, and has a layout that the homeowner enjoys. But the overall lifestyle impacts that renovating had highlight the importance of a kitchen; and this is the reason that your broker will tell you, kitchens and bathrooms sell houses.
The kitchen truly is the heart of the home. When renovations were done, Houzz reports, "A third of homeowners report leading a healthier lifestyle after a kitchen renovation, from eating more fruits and vegetables to preparing more meals at home." The more surprising factoid from the study was that 49% reported more family time. Who doesn't want more family time? But, the most surprising fact? That 32% of the homeowners reported working from home more often after the renovation. Why you ask? Houzz doesn't give a clear answer on this, but we all have a good idea. When you're comfortable and enjoy your home, and it is easy to keep clean, you want to be there. You can be inspired by it, to meet your goals, and knock out those resolutions.
Just be careful... Houzz also reported a 30% increase in baking.
